Hello, and welcome back. In this blog post, we will review and update advisor documents. So, you have been reflecting on your Tarot reading style, and you’ve also been looking at how to strengthen your boundaries and your code of ethics. So, taking all of that goodness, we’re now reflecting on updating your Tarot adviser documents. In this post, we’ll be covering how to review and update your Tarot adviser documents. A quick recap, these are your Tarot adviser documents. You have your client intake form, which you use to ask questions about what’s on their mind, what you can help them with, and a little bit about their personal details, name, and contact details.
You also have your client agreement, which is about how you will show up to the reading and how you want your client to show up to the reading. And what to expect through the reading, through payment, and soon. It also includes your code of ethics as a reader. Then you also have your reading template, mainly if you’re doing email Tarot readings; this is very handy and reflects your reflection. So, that’s why we’re including it today in your review. The first activity I would like you to do is review and update your client intake form. Remember you have reflected on your tarot reading style and are clear about your boundaries, so now it’s time to infuse that into your client intake form. So, I want you to reflect on what additional information you need from your clients to deliver an exceptional reading? So, knowing everything that you know now and everything that you have experienced, what additional information do you need? But then, equally, what information do you not need? Once you’ve reflected, ensure you update your client intake form. Then, the next activity is to review and update your client agreement. So, think about what new boundaries you have put in place. How can you set clear expectations with your clients, and has your code of ethics changed? In the last video, we looked at boundaries and ethics a lot. So, if you’re finding that you do need to adjust your boundaries and your ethics, then take this opportunity to review and revise your client agreement. And equally, you might’ve had some more challenging experiences lately, allowing you to see where those expectations are much more precise. So, take this opportunity now to update your client agreement.
Then, finally, review and update your Tarot reading template. I want you to reflect on what new information you wish to include in your template, whether your Tarot reading style evolved, and how you can reflect this in your template? So, maybe you want to share more about your practice for creating a sacred space. Maybe that practice has changed over time. Perhaps you want to update how you talk about how Tarot works and how this reading will support your clients. Maybe there’s just something new and unique about your style that you want to integrate into your template. So, take this opportunity to update your tarot reading template. And remember, it might be your email template, but it might be your live reading and how you want the flow to go. Now that you are more aware of your Tarot reading style and personal boundaries take this opportunity to update that.
Finally, I just want to share that it’s a perfect practice as a trusted tarot adviser to review your documentation regularly. So, reflect on your experiences. Remember, this is the tarot adviser learning cycle that is coming into play. Reflect on your experiences and align them with your goals and desires regarding who you want to be and how you want these experiences to be. Innovate your documents, update them, and experience the new state of being. And I’d actually recommend doing this probably every six months or so, or if you go through a cycle of attracting some really challenging clients or readings, then it’s often a sign that you need to focus more intently on your documentation and how you set expectations and your boundaries and soon. So, just make this part of your practice. In the following video, we will discuss expanding your Tarot reading practice by doing readings or expanding what you offer in a reading. Can’t wait, I’ll see you there.
Based on the text you provided, here’s a summary of important notes for yourself:
- Review and update your Tarot adviser documents regularly.
2. Reflect on your tarot reading style and personal boundaries to incorporate them into your client intake form.
3. Update your client agreement to set clear expectations with your clients and adjust your boundaries and ethics if needed.
4. Reflect on what new information you wish to include in your Tarot reading template to integrate unique aspects of your style.
5. Make it a practice to review your documentation every six months or after challenging clients or readings.
6. In the following video, you will learn how to expand your Tarot reading practice.
Based on your tarot reading style and personal boundaries, consider adding questions to your Client In-Took form to help you gain more insight into your clients’ backgrounds, intentions, and expectations. For instance, you can ask them about their preferred communication style, spiritual practices, or previous experiences with Tarot readings. Ask them about the specific area of their life they want guidance on or any questions they may have. Doing so can tailor your reading to meet their unique needs and provide a more personalized experience. RememberRemember to update your Client In-Take form with these additional questions.
Great! Here are some examples of questions you might consider adding to your client intake form:
- What specific area of your life are you seeking guidance on?
2. Have you had a Tarot reading before? If so, what was your experience like?
3. What are your spiritual beliefs or practices, if any?
4. What is your preferred communication style? (e.g., direct, empathetic, practical)
5. Do you have any specific questions or concerns you would like addressed during your reading?
6. Do you prefer to refrain from discussing topics during your reading?
7. Do you want me to know anything about you or your situation before we begin?
These questions can help you better understand your client’s needs and tailor your reading to their unique circumstances. Remember to update your client intake form with these additional questions!

When reviewing and updating your client agreement, consider adding specific language around confidentiality and how you handle client information. For example, all information shared during the reading is confidential and will not be shared without the client’s explicit consent. You should also outline expectations around payment and cancellations. For instance, you can specify how much notice is required for cancellations and the consequences if a client fails to provide timely notice or payment. Additionally, suppose you’ve had recent experiences where clients have pushed boundaries or asked for readings outside your comfort zone. In that case, add language around what types of readings you don’t offer and why. Finally, reviewing and updating your code of ethics is essential. Consider adding new standards or clarifying existing ones based on your experiences. For example, add a standard around being transparent with clients about your experience level or how you handle complex readings. Remember, your client agreement and code of ethics are living documents that should be updated regularly based on your experiences and evolving understanding of your practice.
Firstly, reflecting on your Tarot reading style and personal boundaries is essential to determine what new expectations you need to set for yourself and your clients. For example, if you’ve decided to stop offering readings on specific topics, such as health or legal issues, you must update your client agreement to reflect this. Secondly, you should consider any misunderstandings and how to prevent them from happening again. For instance, if clients show up late without notifying you, you may want to include a client agreement clause outlining your policy on tardiness and cancellations. Lastly, you should review and update your Code of Ethics to ensure it aligns with your current values and beliefs. For example, suppose you’ve recently learned about cultural appropriation and want to ensure you’re not perpetuating it in your Tarot readings. In that case, you should include a section in your Code of Ethics that addresses this. Remember, your client agreement is a legally binding document that outlines the terms of your Tarot reading services. Hence, ensuring that it accurately reflects your policies and boundaries is essential.
